TODAY (a few days late)

This is a TBI (Tramautic Brain Injury) wall hanging I made for myself. Please read the note below.
TODAY (greatly edited for spelling by Eric Kachur)
Today is a special day for me. It marks the 20th anniversary of American's with Disabilities Act. I think most of you now that I suffer from PTSD (post tramatic stress disorder)and a brain injury from a MVA over 3 yrs ago. My PTSD symptoms can sometimes be noticed, but go much deeper than people see or can possibly understand, my brain injury is a hole other ball park. This has actually led to many blessing in my life and I thank God I am here. It has allowed me share my creations with you for which I am very thankful for. Have you ever stopped to think how I can still create when I can't even name my colors? I have, and I can tell you that it is only by the grace of God. He knew I would go crazy if I was not allowed to create. I was a church pianist and accompanied the top choir at UNA which is something that not a whole lot of people can do. I may not be able to play the piano any more, or teach, or even name my colors, but I pray that I can inspire others going through difficult times. Yes it was very difficult at first and may not necessarily be a walk in the park right now. But, I had a 10% chance of living and God left me her for a reason. I pray that if you have not accepted Christ as your personal Lord and Savior that you would do so. You never know when you might be in that car. The farthest thing from my mind that day was being in a car accident. I am blessed where I am because I get to encourage other TBI survivors and I have more time to share the news of my Lord with others. If you would like to talk to me about accepting Christ as your personal Lord and Savior please contact me. Thank you for all of the encouragement you have given me!!

Life's A Beach

Just wanted to share with you a "summery" project. This weeks challenge on Fantabulous Cricut was to make something "beachy." I must share that my heart is breaking over the devastation occuring on the beaches of my state and the rest of the Gulf. Please pray for this situation.
Anyway... I have a friend who owns a private school called Lighthouse Learning Center. This was made to hang on the door to her office. I used Storybook, which has to be one of my favorite fonts and Life's A Beach, which has to be one of my favorite shape carts. Have a great weekend and keep cool!!

Imagine That

I just love to alter things. I think I have a fascination with Modge Podge. Speaking of Modge Podge, I am using the gloss kind, and speaking from a person who has had 11 (yes 11)sinus surgeries I must say it smells MUCH better that the regular. So back to altering. This is one of those $3.oo photo albums form the Dollar Store. I made this for a friend with the title Imagine That in the title. I used Songbird Cricut cartridge. Love, Love that cart. It also has an AWESOME font on it.

DAD

This is what I made my dad for Father's day this year. Did you that you have the ability to remove lines you do not want to be cut. Right click on the line you want to hide and then drag mouse down to hide contout. Now, I have a brain injury and incorrectly idetified colors today (along with a LOT of other stuff) swo don't hold me to that.
Anyway, this is the feature I used to get ride of the middle of the letters since there is no blackout option on fonts. Enjoy!

IN honor of Memorial Day, I wanted to post this Star Box that I made. The top of the box was created using embossing a star stamp. I like the way the embossing powder added shimmer to this shining box.

Sisterhood

This album was made for a very dear friend. She calls me on a regular basis just to check on me and ask me what kind of pain day I am having. She understands the need for talk therapy as apposed to just bottling it up inside. Anyway, neither of us have a sister, so I created this album for us to put pics in for when we do get together. Whenever that may be.

Simply Chic mini album

This mini was made for a friend in a swap on the cricut message board.

Stair Step Card

This is a stair step card a made for a swap. I am a precious moments collector, and I thought this stamp would make a cute (sorry Shonda, ca-ute) Thanksgiving card.

Birthday Book continued

At first I had a hard time deciding what to do for project. Not only was it for Kathy(paperphenomenom), but it was for a male. And then it hit me. I decided to use part of the ever so popular Beatles Birthday song.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to check in and let you know that one of my friends is giving away blog candy this Friday. Go check it out at:http://youngsscrapping.blogspot.com/. It even has a cricut A to Z cartridge. I am looking forward to putting together my blog and posting some projects. Right now I am just relaxing with my kitty sitting with me in the recliner and hubby playing the guitar. Oops, I lost the kitty. My hubby started singing "Amazing Grace." That is our cats favorite song, so now he is on my DH's recliner. Have a great night everyone.
